And lo, the blog did move

13 04 2007

I decided to make the switch to WordPress because a)I like it better than blogspot (even if you have to pay for certain things) and b) because my upcoming blog for the Kentucky Derby will be run in WordPress, so I have to get used to this system…

Speaking of which, Derby day is less than a month away… I’ll keep you informed of where that blog will be and if any of you know of any other blogs focused around horses, horse racing, etc., please feel free to let me know.

Welcome to the world of WordPress. Life is swell here.
Btw, your commenting window stretches to the outside of your right border on my FireFox.

You and your constant blog-moving, and non-archive-shifting. Grr.

There is an export tool by which you can get all your posts (and users’ comments) in a handy-dandy format to import into WordPress. Google it. Live it.

(I think you have to have webspace to do it though…)

Yeah, on my FireFox as well. But that’s cool. I like the lack of border. It’s a mystery that entices. Like the smell of freshly baked bread.

On the other hand, the font for the sidebar could use a little throwing away.

Also, I’m guessing comments are moderated, as on your previous blogs. But there’s no message on your wordpress blog that lets me know my comment was sent. Might make for some confusion.

But other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how’d you enjoy the play?

Oh, wait, my mistake. It seems that comments are open and unmoderated (here’s my chance to say “poop”). But the comments number doesn’t change. I mean, I’d guess that it will change upon page reload, but not after comment acceptance. Hmmm.

Nice move. But I must ask, how many more times must I reset my feed reader and my blogroll because of you? Rat bastage!

My head… It spins from the constant moving around.

And my bookmarks folder aches from having to update it again! LOL

Yeah, I will also jump aboard the ’stop moving’ band wagon. Of course I’m here now, so nevermind…
Oh, and I don’t like the grass.

(really it’s ok, i’m just being obstinate)

Hold still for a bit, will ya? It’s a wonder that as often as I go missing I’m still able to find you when I get back.

Hey there…you’re making me edit my blogroll a whole lot lately, Dariush. :) WordPress is pretty cool though, one of my friends runs his site using it and blogs with it also. Maybe you could buy a domain name like “dariushblog.com” and then we’d always know where you were even when you switched blogging software.
